  I celebrated my 65th birthday with family, and friends at the St Hugo winery on Friday 24 June. We had the eight-course degustation menu with paired wines.
  The facility is new and amazingly clean, the facility has old world charm in an amazingly modern facility.
  The food was exquisite, and the wine pairing could not be faulted, or as we learnt, the food was matched to the wine. The staff was courteous and extremely knowledgeable, providing just the right balance of food/wine information without being intrusive.
  My family could not have picked a better venue for my birthday, I loved everything about St Hugo's it, as did we all! Bravo Zulu St Hugo - hope you get all the success you truly deserve.

  We recommend St. Hugo to locals and tourists on a very regular basis, when and where we can. This is for so many reasons, summarised below:
  
  We love the culinary work of Mark McNamara, ever since he was at Appellation. And, have followed him with his well known Food Luddite, which is a very well respected cooking school.
  
  We also think that St Hugo has the entire experience available, including: world class formal dinning, amazing facilities, tasting, and we think that this is a terrific use of the former Grant Burge wines property.
  
  With the Wine Tasting our favourite, and in our eyes a Barossa "Classic" is the St Hugo Shiraz 2012. We recommend the Private Collection Flight at $20 per person, we love this tasting because each wine is 2012, which is known in the area for being an exceptional vintage.
  
  For the full dinning experience here, we always recommend the 'Chef's Table Experience with matching wines" because we believe an experience like this is a "bucket list" experience, and one should get all they can out of it. Highly recommended.
